DAMANHUR - the world's largest and most successful Intentional Community!Damanhur, an advanced technological eco-village is renowned for its is renowned for its artistic, ecological, spiritual and social, research and education.This intentional community, founded in the late 1970’s in Vidracco, Italy, now incorporates 80 businesses, has it’s own currency and prints a daily newspaper to keep it’s large membership updated and connected. With over 800 residents and an additional 400 local supporters, Damanhur is a place where innovative ideas, sustainable technology, and respect between humankind and planet earth is not just a hope for the future, it’s a daily and concrete reality!

About the presenters:

Dan Watson, PhD, is a U.S. representative for Damanhur, sponsoring local workshops, events and organizing tours to this fascinating Eco-village. He has had the rare experience of watching the rapid development of this community over the past 7 years.

Mary Silva has been an avid researcher of Intentional Communities for over 15 years now and has visited over 40 communities, including a recent two-month stay at Damanhur. Her vision is to see a similar community created here in the United States.

30 folks enjoyed seeing the video’s of this amazing intentional community formed in secret for many years.  There was dialogue from Dan and Mary who answered attendees questions before breaking for the  potluck. We are off to Damanhur.
